Nature Workshop Series

A slow morning gathering for mothers and their littlest ones (ages 0–3)

This series is as much for you as it is for your child.

Creekside in the great outdoors we will make a tiny sanctuary — for mamas to exhale, for babies to explore.

Wild + Rooted is a four-week workshop designed to offer mothers a soft place to land—a pause in the week to exhale, reconnect, and be nurtured in the presence of nature and community. While your child explores gentle, sensory-rich activities, you’ll be invited to move slowly, breathe deeply, and rest in the beauty of the moment.

This isn’t just a playgroup. It’s a nervous system reset. A chance to be held while you hold so much. A weekly reminder that you matter, too.

A 4-week nature series for mamas + littles under 3

[ages 3+ check out our nature club!]

Week 1: Soothe + Settle In: explore nature, herbs, and enjoy a moment of calm, creative sensory-play together. Make a soothing herbal sachet to take home.
Week 2: Petals & Play: Use flowers to create something beautiful together.
Week 3: Foraged Nature Loom: Make a nature loom and forage for memories.
Week 4: The Light in You: make a light catcher and creekside story time (includes a book by local children's author Eva Douglass)

🌿 What to Expect:

• 4 weekly 90-minute sessions outdoors in a calm, creekside setting

• Nature-based sensory activities designed for babies and toddlers (flower petal play, aromatherapy, nature looms, and light catchers)

• Thoughtfully curated materials for open play

• Cozy blankets to relax on

• Quiet prompts and optional reflection moments for moms

• A small, heart-centered community of fellow mothers

📍 Location: 

Kotecki Park @ 730 Wildlife Lodge Road, Lower Burrell PA 15068

When you enter the park, turn into the right parking lot. We will meet at the pavilion across the walking bridge by the creek. 

🕰️ Time frame: 

9-9:30am: Gentle arrivals, welcome activity

9:30–10:30am: Main activity

10:30–11:00am: Community time, creek play/playground

Intended to work with the unpredictability of motherhood. This isn't a time to stress about schedules, just jump in or take off as you need.
