A Nature Club for Kids by Make It Slow

Location: Kotecki Memorial Park, Lower Burrell
Dates: October 24 & November 11
Time: 9:00 AM – 11 AM (open play afterward is always welcome)
Ages: Recommended for ages 0-10

**These pop ups will be a blend of our Mama & Me nature sessions and W+R nature club. They are open to families to attend together and will have age appropriate modifications for all participants. We will have our previously held separate registrations resume in January. 

We ask that kids be potty trained (or have an adult present) and be comfortable in outdoor play. Parents are welcome to stay or drop off, according to their child's comfort level.

Club Overview

Wild + Rooted is an outdoor experience for kids (and their parents) to connect with nature through hands-on activities, guided exploration, and open-ended play. Each session includes a nature craft or activity followed by slow, unstructured time to explore and play outdoors in every season of weather.

OCTOBER 24: Nature costumes

We will be foraging and creating nature costumes such as leaf crowns, nature wings, magic wands, etc. 

NOVEMBER 11: Gratitude Art Hanging

We will build a wild and foraged art hanging to represent our gratitude for all of our favorite things - crafting them into a beautiful, autumn hanging we can display & remember.

Pricing

• $35 / participating child

• Adults are free to attend

What to Bring

• Clothes that can get messy

• Water bottle

• Sunscreen/insect repellent if needed

• Towel & change of clothes for creek play

• Snack

• Optional: binoculars, small basket for collecting

When you enter the park, turn into the right parking lot. We will meet at the pavilion across the walking bridge by the creek.
